NEXT STEPS

We are delighted that you have visited Mercy Commons and we hope that you walked away learning more about Jesus and our community. We know it can be difficult to discern what to do next. As a church, we are passionate about walking with you as you discover more about being a Christ follower. Please feel free to ask questions about what faith in Jesus looks like. We encourage you to stay for 4 More.

Why 4 More?

Finding a church home can be tough, especially if you only visit once or twice. Therefore, we encourage you to stay for 4 More! Commit to attending consistently for four weeks, you will have the chance to experience different gatherings, hear different preachers, meet different people, and get a better feel of how we operate. More importantly, it gives us a chance to get to know you. By the end of four weeks, you will be better informed and know if Mercy Commons is the right place for you. During 4 More, you will have at least one opportunity to attend:

“Let’s do Lunch” also happens every Sunday after the Gathering and is an informal way of getting to know you. Every week we choose a couple of places in the city where we eat lunch. See the Let’s Do Lunch board (next to the Coffee Bar) for more details

“Visitors Lunch” happens about every 4-6 weeks. See the events page.

“Potential members lunch” This class takes place once every 4-6 weeks. Check the events page for more details.

These 3 steps work progressively to give you a good idea of who we are, what we hope to accomplish together, how leadership affects this, and what your part in the mission of God is.

Would you like to learn more? Then please visit us at the Coffee Area. For questions email Mikaela Buchanan at mikaela@mercycommons.church.

Membership

We understand that people are on different parts of their journey to understanding who Jesus is, and we design our gatherings to be open to those who are exploring faith. To equip, train, develop, and effectively care for our church family, we encourage them to become members who participate in Jesus’ mission through giving, service, and community. We encourage those who are interested in membership to attend “Visitors Lunch” at Nick (Nick is our lead pastor) and Karin’s home. This is designed to give you a more detailed look “under the hood.” After attending the Newcomers Lunch, you will be invited to attend a “Potential Members” lunch where you will learn more about what it looks like to join us on mission as a family of faith in Fullerton.
